About Us
The purpose of the Commission is to manage the planning, building, improvements, and operation of a state-of-the-art practical skills and advanced law enforcement training center.
Criminal activity within the St. Louis region routinely crosses county and municipal borders, and accordingly, the training and preparedness of law enforcement personnel must also be regional in nature to ensure an effective, coordinated response to crime that is not limited by jurisdictional boundaries.
Counties throughout the region already participate in numerous multi-jurisdictional partnerships and cooperative initiatives to address regional crime, and the establishment of a shared regional training facility represents the next logical and necessary advancement in strengthening interagency collaboration and improving public safety outcomes.
The governing body of the Commission shall be a Board of Commissioners comprised of 8 Commissioners. Each Commissioner will be appointed by the Chief Executive of the following counties:
- St. Louis County - 4
- St. Charles County - 2
- Franklin County - 1
- Jefferson County - 1
